October Menu - The JM Files

October's Picks are three coffees that shouldn't work on paper — cayenne in a caramel apple, a fried cookie in a cup, maple and bacon sharing a mug — and somehow do. Add a full Halloween lineup (Frank's Finest, Ghoul Scout, Betelgeuse), spooky drinks to make at home, and Momma's Munchies rolling out all month. Coffees for the Strange and Unusual, open for the whole month of October.

October Menu - The JM Files

The Menu

October: JM Files

October is the one month you're allowed to want cayenne in your caramel apple and nobody's judging. Three coffees that make zero sense on paper and complete sense in the mug, a Halloween lineup, and a stack of spooky drinks to make at home.

Coffees for the Strange and Unusual

Field notes: witnesses agree it shouldn't work. Witnesses agree it does. Three case files, opened this month.

Roswell Red Coffee

Case File 001

Roswell Red

Medium Roast

Caramel apple is the easy part. The cayenne is the part that gets people talking — a slow warmth that shows up after the sweetness, like it snuck in the back door. We're not calling it spicy. We're calling it interesting.

Tasting notes:

Caramelized apple · brown sugar · a warm cayenne finish

Field note: Reports describe a caramel apple that "felt normal at first." Then the heat arrives, unannounced, somewhere around sip three. No further incidents reported. Customers keep drinking it anyway.

Unidentified Fried Object Coffee

Case File 002

Unidentified Fried Object

Medium-Dark Roast

This is the one that sounds like a fair food dare and drinks like dessert. Fried, chocolate, sandwich cookie — in a coffee — because someone asked "can we?" and nobody said no fast enough. New this year. We stand by it.

Tasting notes:

Rich chocolate · sweet cream filling · a toasted, golden-fried edge

Field note: Witness statements are inconsistent on flavor but unanimous on one point: it tastes exactly like it sounds, which nobody expected to actually work.

Cryptid Bacon Coffee

Case File 003

Cryptid Bacon

Medium Roast

Sweet maple up front, a savory bacon finish right behind it. Sounds like a rumor until you're holding the mug. Easiest entry point in this month's lineup if you're new to "weird coffee flavors" as a category.

Tasting notes:

Maple syrup · smoky bacon · brown butter finish

Field note: Multiple sightings confirmed. Description consistent across all reports: "shouldn't work, does." Case remains open, mostly because people keep asking for more.
