  • 1 cup brewed Death by Chocolate coffee (in place of water)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ cup chocolate milk
  • For the Whipped Filling:
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Mocha Ganache:
  • 7 oz chopped chocolate (semi-sweet or dark)
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1–2 Tbsp strong brewed Death by Chocolate coffee
  • Optional Crispy Cocoa Topping:
  • 1¼ cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 3 Tbsp melted Nutella
  • 3 Tbsp cocoa powder

Directions

  1. Bake the Cake: Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch sheet pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cake ingredients: chocolate cake mix, brewed coffee, oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour into pan and bake for 35–40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  4. Cool completely. Once cooled, pour chocolate milk over the cake and let it soak in.
  5. Make the Whipped Filling: Beat cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Add heavy cream and beat until stiff peaks form.
  7. Spread the whipped filling evenly over the cooled cake. Chill for 30–60 minutes.

  10. Set aside to cool slightly.
  11. Optional Crispy Cocoa Topping: Mix Rice Krispies with melted Nutella to coat.
  12. Add cocoa powder, cover bowl, and shake until evenly coated. Set aside.
  13. Assemble: Remove chilled cake. Pour cooled mocha ganache over whipped layer and spread evenly.
  14. Top with crispy cocoa topping, if using.
