What You'll Need

For the Frappe Base:

  • 6 oz Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream coffee, brewed strong and chilled
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 1 tsp sugar or sweetener of choice (optional — the coffee is already sweet)

To Finish:

  • Whipped cream
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Thin chocolate drizzle (optional)

How To Make It

  1. Brew strong, chill first. Brew your Mint Chocolate Chip coffee at double strength and let it cool completely before blending. Warm coffee melts the ice too fast and waters the whole thing down.
  2. Blend the base. Add chilled coffee, ice, heavy cream, chocolate syrup, and sugar (if using) to a blender. Blend on high for 20–30 seconds until smooth and thick. It should pour like a thick milkshake — not watery, not icy.
  3. Pour and top. Pour into a tall glass. Top generously with whipped cream.
  4. Add the chips. Scatter mini chocolate chips across the whipped cream. Add a chocolate drizzle if you want it to look like it came from somewhere. Serve immediately.

Swaps & Permission Slips

  • Don't add peppermint extract. The bean coating is already doing that job. Adding extract on top turns medicinal fast — trust the coffee.
  • Want it thicker? Add a small scoop of vanilla ice cream to the blender. It becomes more milkshake than frappe, which is not a bad place to be in July.
  • No blender? Brew it strong, pour over ice, add a splash of cream and the chocolate syrup, and skip the blend. It's a different drink but it's still good.

July Picks are a limited run — roasted in small batches, gone when they're gone.
