Jerky with Java Momma Spices
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground meat of choice (Pork, beef, turkey)
- 1 TBSP Dark Roast Coffee – like Sumatran Satin
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 TBSP Java Momma Spice of your choice. Honey Habenero was a hit! From the Cookout Pack
- 1/3-1/2 cup sugar

Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix with a spoon or your hands until completely combined.
- Cover and refrigerate for flavors to meld, 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 250* degrees and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the mixture into a thin layer, about 1/4″ thick. Place in the oven and cook for 15-18 minutes. Flip the meat over and cook for another 15-18 minutes.
- Remove from oven and cut into shapes of choice. Place these pieces on a cooling rack and place the cooling rack onto of a baking sheet.
- Return to the oven under the Broiler. Cook for 2 minutes on each side until browned and crisping.
- Remove from oven. Cool the jerky and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
