Green Tea Brew Guide

Green tea undergoes short withering, steaming, or pan firing to stop oxidation taking place, preserving the character and colour of the leaves. The leaves are rolled or pressed to develop the flavor. Green tea is brewed at a lower temperature to help retain it’s characteristics.

  • Use 2-3 teaspoons (2-3 grams) for 1 cup/200ml of filtered water boiled to 60-80°C/176°F
  • Once the water is boiled, leave to cool for a minute or so before pouring. Using boiling water can cause the green tea to taste bitter!
  • Brew for 2-3 minutes
  • Serve without milk
