We Looked at Our Prices. Here's What We Did About It.

Coffee costs have been unpredictable lately — most of it nowhere near our control. So we went through our own numbers, coffee by coffee, and found real room to bring some prices down. Here's exactly what changed.

We Looked at Our Prices. Here's What We Did About It.

Let's talk about money for a second. Not in the "everything is fine, don't worry about it" way brands usually mean that. In the actual, real way.

Coffee costs have been doing something wild this year. Not because anyone flipped a switch — it's the whole chain: what farmers are paid, what it costs to ship green coffee across an ocean, what's happening in ports and currencies and a dozen things that have nothing to do with your kitchen but somehow end up affecting your grocery bill anyway. We watch it because we have to. You feel it because you're the one budgeting.

So here's what we did about it.

We went through our own pricing, coffee by coffee, and asked one question: where do we actually have room to bring the price down without cutting corners on the stuff that makes Java Momma Java Momma — the air roasting, the small batches, the fact that your bag is roasted after you order it, not sitting on a warehouse shelf for six months. Where we found room, we took it.

What actually changed

  • Our everyday single-origin and blend bags are less expensive — every single day, no code needed.
  • Our K-Cups came down too. We raised that price when costs spiked and never got around to un-raising it. Fixed now.
  • Our limited releases got a little more affordable too — we worked the numbers on these the same way we did everything else.

We didn't touch everything. Some of our specialty single-origin coffees genuinely cost more to source right now than they did a year ago, and we'd rather be straight with you about that than quietly shrink the bag or swap in something cheaper and hope you don't notice. You'll always know what you're getting from us.

If this feels familiar, it's because it's the same math behind Cold Dead Hands — the whole idea that a home-brewed mug should cost you a fraction of a drive-through cup, not the same amount with extra steps. This just makes that math a little better.

We're not going to pretend a price adjustment fixes everyone's grocery budget. It doesn't. What it does is make sure that when you reach for your favorite bag, you're not paying more than you have to for coffee that's actually worth reaching for.

Same coffee. Same roasting. Same "made after you hit order, not before." Just a little easier on the wallet where we could manage it.
