Raspberry Rose Mocha

Decadent and romantic in that low-key way β€” rich chocolate, bright raspberry, and just enough rose to feel soft (not soapy).

There are some mornings that want more than routine. Not louder. Not faster. Just… softer.

This is the mug you make when you want coffee to feel like a pause. Chocolate to ground you, raspberry to brighten things up, and rose as a tiny finishing note β€” like perfume, but for your latte (and way less dramatic).

Fall in love with your coffee again. And then again tomorrow.

Why we keep making this one

  • Easy enough for a weekday.
  • Not too sweet, not too floral.
  • Feels a little special without trying.
  • Tastes like chocolate-covered raspberries (with a soft rose whisper).

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp raspberry syrup, raspberry jam or muddled raspberries
  • 1/2 tbsp rose water
  • 1 tbsp dark chocolate syrup
  • 6–8 oz milk of choice
  • Espresso brewed or 4 oz strong brewed coffee

Optional garnishes: rose sugar, cocoa sugar, freeze-dried raspberry powder

A quick coffee note

If you’re using Java Momma coffee, Love Potion or White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle fits right in here β€” it’s what we usually reach for when we want the raspberry note to feel extra cozy.

Rose water can go from β€œromantic” to β€œgrandma’s dresser” fast β€” if you’re unsure, start a little shy.

How to make a Raspberry Rose Mocha

  1. In your mug, stir together the raspberry syrup (or jam/berries), rose water, and dark chocolate syrup.
  2. Brew espresso (or strong coffee) and pour it hot over the syrup mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Heat and froth your milk until creamy, then pour it over the coffee.
  4. Garnish if you want β€” freeze-dried raspberry powder, rose sugar, cocoa sugar, or nothing at all. Cozy either way.

Tips & swaps (permission-based)

  • Raspberry jam works beautifully if you don’t keep syrup around.
  • Oat milk leans extra cozy with the chocolate.
  • If rose feels intimidating, use a touch less the first time β€” you can always add a tiny splash more.
