💜💚💛 Mardi Gras Sips
Mardi Gras Praline Cold Brew Cocktail
This drink tastes like King Cake decided to take a detour through Bourbon Street. Sweet praline notes, creamy cold brew, and just enough indulgence to feel like you’re doing Mardi Gras correctly.
It works as a mocktail, but it also plays very nicely with bourbon or rum — because Mardi Gras is about options. Make one for yourself or batch it for a crowd that showed up hungry.
Why You’ll Love It
- Sweet, nutty praline flavor without being heavy
- Easy to scale up for Mardi Gras parties
- Feels festive without needing a blender or special gear
The Java Momma Twist
We start with cold brewed Praline coffee to get that warm, nutty sweetness that makes this drink feel like dessert. If you don’t have it, cold brew plus a splash of praline syrup works too.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups cold brewed Praline coffee
- 2 Tbsp praline or caramel syrup
- 1/2 cup milk or cream (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1 shot bourbon or rum (optional)
- Ice
- Whipped cream, optional
- Purple, green, and gold sanding sugars, optional
Method
- In a shaker or jar, combine cold brew, syrup, milk, condensed milk, and cinnamon.
- Shake well until fully combined.
- Fill a glass with ice and pour the mixture over top.
- Add bourbon or rum if using and stir gently.
- Top with whipped cream and sanding sugars if desired.
Batch it: Multiply everything and mix in a pitcher. Let guests add alcohol to their own glass if they want.
