1. Who This Applies To
These terms apply to any individual who signs up for their own personal page as part of a Java Momma fundraiser — for example, a student, athlete, or team member sharing their own fundraiser link.
2. Participants Under 18
If the participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete this sign-up on their behalf, or review and approve it with them before it's submitted. This includes approving any photo uploaded as part of the sign-up. Java Momma does not knowingly collect personal information directly from a minor without parent or guardian involvement.
3. What Information Is Collected
Sign-up collects a name, email address, and optionally a photo. This information is used only to create and display the participant's personal fundraiser page and to track their fundraising progress. It is not sold or used for unrelated marketing.
4. Photo Use
Any photo uploaded is displayed publicly on the participant's fundraiser page for the duration of the campaign. Photos are optional — a page can be created without one. Only upload a photo you (or, for a minor, their parent or guardian) have the right to use and are comfortable being shown publicly. Java Momma reserves the right to remove any photo, at its sole discretion, for any reason, without notice.
5. Appropriate Use
Participants agree to use their fundraiser link and page solely for the stated fundraising purpose, and not to post anything false, offensive, or unrelated to the fundraiser. Java Momma and/or the organizing group may remove a participant's page at any time, for any reason, at their discretion.
6. No Guarantee
Participation is voluntary. Java Momma makes no guarantee about how much any individual participant will raise.
