Java Momma is proud to offer fundraising opportunities to our customers. Please read the fundraising guidelines below for more information and to see if our fundraising is a good match for your cause.
Guidelines for Fundraising:
Fundraising with Java Momma is not for personal financial gain. Fundraisers are for goodwill and community building. Approval for a fundraiser is based on how your intended fundraiser fits our criteria. All approved fundraisers must have either a 501 c3 or 503 c status or be recognized by the IRS as a charity or nonprofit. (This does not guarantee approval.) Examples of approved fundraisers include, but are not limited to, disaster relief, nonprofit fundraising, and school fundraising for classroom supplies, sports equipment, exc. Additionally, all approved fundraisers must have a corresponding Java Momma Barista as a sponsor and point of contact.
Fundraisers with Java Momma are not for bulk ordering for barista’s inventory. Any Barista thought to do so will result in the denial of fundraiser and may be subject to disciplinary actions such as, but not limited to, removal of Barista status from Java Momma. Fundraisers DO NOT count toward PV or commission/leader bonus, nor do they count toward quarterly minimums to remain an active Barista in good standing.
Baristas will receive $1.00 per pound of coffee sold. Baristas may choose to keep the $1.00/ per bag of coffee sold to offset any cost associated with distribution or may choose to donate it to the benefiting organization. The fundraiser recipient or organization will profit $5.00 per bag of coffee sold.
Upon approval, Java Momma will email the sponsoring Barista a fundraising packet which includes descriptions of coffee and a customer order form. One custom label for the fundraiser is also something we provide. If you choose to have the custom label please allow for 7-10 business days for completion. (one revision available).
The Customer Order Form is solely for the use of the barista and/or benefiting organization to capture orders and contact information. Java Momma will not deal with any customer information past the point of the benefiting organization, therefore, this form is not to be returned to Java Momma. Additionally, the Customer Order Form is an added tool from Java Momma; Barista’s and benefiting organizations are not required to use the form.
Once complete the sponsoring barista will go to the given link and fill out the google doc to complete the ordering process. This will be where all orders are captured for Java Momma’s fulfillment facility.
Fundraising procedure and distribution are up to the discretion of the Barista and/or benefiting organization.
Baristas and benefiting organization will have three weeks from the date of approval to complete and return the Fundraiser Order Form. Failure to return the forms in three weeks without notifying Java Momma of any time extension requests will result in the cancellation of the fundraiser. Java Momma will send out an invoice upon receiving the completed fundraising forms. Barista/ benefiting organization will have 5 days to pay invoices or the fundraiser will be cancelled. Upon payed invoice, Java Momma will fulfill and ship the fundraiser products to the address noted on the initial fundraiser request form.
At this time, Fundraisers include one-pound bags of coffee with regular and decaf options. There is a 10 lb. minimum for each fundraiser.
Barista cost: $10/ 1 lb. bag
Customer cost: $16/ 1 lb. bag
Java Momma will charge the full $16 per bag of coffee sold. When the invoice is paid, Java Momma will send the benefiting organization a check containing the fundraiser profit. Java Momma will also send a check to the barista for the amount owed per bag of coffee sold. If the Barista opts to donate the $1.00 per bag of coffee sold to the benefiting organization, Java Momma will add the Barista’s portion to the fundraiser profit.
