Product description

Two hundred and fifty years in and we're still doing it our way. Cake for breakfast feels about right.

This one exists because 250 years of America calls for something a little more festive than your usual Tuesday cup. Stars, Stripes & Sprinkles is a medium roast flavored coffee with vanilla birthday cake, sweet buttercream frosting, and a hit of colorful sprinkle energy — the kind of flavor that makes you feel like someone remembered your birthday and actually showed up with cake. It's a classic celebration.

It's built on a Brazilian bean base, air-roasted to order using solar power, and flavored post-roast with custom flavoring. The result is a cup that's smooth, slightly sweet, and genuinely good black — though if you want to go full dessert, nobody's stopping you. It's a limited release tied to America's 250th. When the cake is gone, it's gone.

  • Vanilla birthday cake, buttercream frosting, and sprinkle flavor — festive without trying too hard
  • Medium roast, 100% Arabica, Brazilian bean base — smooth and low-acid
  • Air-roasted to order using solar power
  • Zero sugar, zero sweeteners, no added carbohydrates — naturally keto-friendly
  • No gluten added — not a dedicated gluten-free facility
  • Available in whole bean, ground, single-serve pods compatible with Keurig® 1.0 and 2.0, and decaf via Mountain Water Process
  • Limited release — made in small batches, gone when they're gone

About Stars, Stripes & Sprinkles Coffee

Roast level: Medium
Bean base: 100% Arabica, Brazilian origin
Flavor profile: Vanilla birthday cake, sweet buttercream frosting, sprinkle
Flavoring: Custom flavoring applied post-roast
Process: Air-roasted to order using solar power
Release type: Limited release — tied to America's 250th anniversary; available while supplies last

Brazilian beans are naturally lower in acidity — the growing altitude and processing methods keep things smooth. Medium roast keeps the cup approachable and lets the birthday cake flavoring come through clean. The flavor is sweet on the nose and in the finish without any added sugar. Black is great. With a splash of cream it goes full celebration.

Nutritional Info

What's in the cup

Black coffee is essentially zero-calorie — what you add is your call. The custom flavoring in this coffee contains no sugar and no sweeteners. No added carbohydrates, naturally keto-friendly as a factual product spec.

No gluten added — not a dedicated gluten-free facility.

How to Brew

Brewing Stars, Stripes & Sprinkles

This is a medium roast, so it's forgiving across brew methods. Drip is the everyday move. Pour-over brings out the vanilla and buttercream notes a little more clearly. French press gives you a fuller body. Cold brew works surprisingly well — the flavor reads almost like a vanilla cream soda base.

Drip: 1–2 tablespoons per 6 oz water. Standard settings.
Pour-over: Medium-fine grind. 1:15 ratio (1g coffee to 15g water). Bloom 30 seconds, pour in stages.
French press: Coarse grind. 1:12 ratio. Steep 4 minutes, press slow.
Cold brew: Coarse grind. 1:8 ratio. Steep 12–18 hours in cold water, strain and serve over ice.
Single-serve pods: Compatible with Keurig® 1.0 and 2.0 machines. No measuring required.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Stars, Stripes & Sprinkles Coffee

Does it actually taste like birthday cake?

Yes — vanilla cake and sweet buttercream are the lead notes, with a little sprinkle sweetness in the finish. It's recognizable without being a caricature of itself. Brew it a little stronger if you want the flavor to come through more pronounced, or dial it back for something subtler. Black is genuinely good. Cream tips it firmly into dessert territory.

Does it taste sweet without adding sugar?

Yes — the custom flavoring gives it a vanilla and buttercream character that reads as sweet without any added sugar or sweetener. Brew strength and what you add will shift how pronounced that is, but black out of the pot is genuinely good.

Is this coffee keto-friendly?

Yes — black coffee has zero sugar, zero sweeteners, and no added carbohydrates. The flavoring in this coffee adds no sugar either. Naturally keto-friendly as a factual product spec, not a lifestyle claim.

Is this actually a limited release?

Yes. Stars, Stripes & Sprinkles is a limited release tied to America's 250th. Made in small batches — when the cake is gone, it's gone. No dramatic countdown, just an honest heads-up.

Do you offer a decaf version?

Yes — Stars, Stripes & Sprinkles is available in decaf. Same flavor, same air-roasted process, without the caffeine. Our decaf uses the Mountain Water Process, which skips the harsh chemical solvents. Your 3pm cup just got a lot more reasonable.

Is this coffee easy on the stomach?

It tends to be, and there are a few reasons for that. We air-roast all of our coffee — unlike drum roasting, air roasting circulates heat evenly around the bean rather than scorching it against a hot surface, which generally produces a smoother, gentler cup. We also use a Brazilian bean base, and Brazilian beans are naturally lower in acidity thanks to the growing altitude and processing methods used there. Add a medium roast to the mix — longer roast time means less of the compounds that can irritate a sensitive stomach — and you've got a cup that tends to sit a lot easier than most. No guarantees, because everyone's different, but if coffee and your stomach have had a complicated relationship, this is a reasonable place to start.

What other coffees pair well with this one?

If you're into flavored coffees that lean sweet and warm, our other dessert-inspired roasts are worth a look. Our snack line is also a natural companion if you want something to go with your cup.
