The Coffee That Makes This Work
Brazil Medium Roast is smooth, nutty, and low acid — it lets the apple crisp syrup and caramel lead without a fight. You could use another medium roast, like Dutch Apple Strudel or Apple Almond Crisp if it's available.

Ingredients
Macchiato
- 6 oz. strong brewed Brazil Medium Roast or 1 espresso shot
- 6 oz. oat milk
- 2 Tbsp Apple Crisp Syrup, divided (full recipe here)
- 1 Tbsp caramel sauce (optional)
- Crushed ice
- Apple Crisp Cold Foam (optional, below)
Apple Crisp Cold Foam
- 2 Tbsp heavy whipping cream
- 1 Tbsp Apple Crisp Syrup
Method
Need the syrup first? Make a batch of Apple Crisp Syrup — it keeps a week in the fridge, so this drink comes together in minutes after that.
Iced
- In a tall tumbler, froth oat milk with 1 Tbsp caramel sauce and 1 Tbsp Apple Crisp Syrup until creamy. Fill ¾ full with crushed ice.
- In a mason jar, stir together 1 Tbsp Apple Crisp Syrup with brewed coffee.
- Pour coffee mixture over the frothed milk.
- Top with Apple Crisp Cold Foam and drizzle with caramel. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
Hot
- Froth 6 oz oat milk with 1 Tbsp caramel sauce and 1 Tbsp Apple Crisp Syrup until warm and velvety.
- Brew 6 oz Brazil Medium Roast (or pull 1 espresso shot).
- Pour frothed milk into a mug, then gently pour the coffee over the top.
- Spoon on warm Apple Crisp Cold Foam if desired, drizzle with caramel, and finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or sea salt.
✨ Barista tip: warm your mug first by filling it with hot water while you prep your milk and coffee.
Apple Crisp Cold Foam
- Combine heavy whipping cream with Apple Crisp Syrup.
- Froth to desired consistency and spoon over your drink.
