The Beans

Fig & Honey is built on a Brazilian bean base — 100% Arabica, medium roast, and chosen specifically because Brazilian beans are naturally lower in acidity. The growing altitude and processing methods in Brazil produce a bean that's smooth and approachable without needing any help. That makes it a strong foundation for flavored coffees, where you want the flavoring to land cleanly.

The fig and honey character comes from custom flavoring applied after roasting — not from the roast profile itself. That's how we keep the flavor accurate and consistent from bag to bag. Medium roast means the beans are developed enough to carry the flavoring well, without pushing into bitter or ashy territory. The result is a cup that reads warm and subtly sweet, whether you're drinking it black or doctoring it up.

Nutritional Info

Black coffee is essentially zero-calorie — what you add is your call. The flavoring in this coffee contains no sugar and no sweeteners. No added carbohydrates, naturally keto-friendly. No gluten added — not a dedicated gluten-free facility. The flavoring contains no dairy.

How to Brew

Drip (recommended starting point): 1 to 2 tablespoons per 6 oz of water. Medium grind. The fig and honey notes come through cleanly at a standard brew strength — no need to go extra strong.

Pour Over: Same ratio. Medium-fine grind. Bloom for 30 seconds with twice the weight of water, then pour slowly. Lets the flavoring settle into each layer of the brew.

French Press: Coarse grind, 4-minute steep. Full-bodied result that softens the honey note into the cup. Good if you want something rounder.

Cold Brew: Coarse grind, 1:4 coffee-to-water ratio, 12–18 hours in the fridge. The fig character deepens when cold — more jammy, a little more concentrated.

Single Serve Pods: Brew on your standard 8 oz setting. Compatible with Keurig® machines.

Does this coffee actually taste like fig and honey, or is it just a name?
It actually does. The fig and honey character comes from custom flavoring applied after roasting — same process we use across our flavored line. You get a warm, jammy quality from the fig and a soft, rounded sweetness from the honey. It's not candy-sweet, and it's not subtle to the point of being invisible. Brewed black, it's noticeably different in a good way.

Does it taste sweet without adding sugar?
Yes — the custom flavoring gives it a honey and jammy fig character that reads as sweet without any added sugar or sweetener. Brew strength and what you add will shift how pronounced that is, but black out of the pot is genuinely good.

Is this coffee easy on the stomach?
It tends to be, and there are a few reasons for that. We air-roast all of our coffee — air roasting circulates heat evenly around the bean rather than scorching it against a hot surface, which generally produces a smoother, gentler cup. We also use a Brazilian bean base, naturally lower in acidity thanks to the growing altitude and processing methods used there. Add a medium roast to the mix — longer roast time means less of the compounds that can irritate a sensitive stomach — and you've got a cup that tends to sit a lot easier than most. No guarantees, because everyone's different, but if coffee and your stomach have had a complicated relationship, this is a reasonable place to start.

Do you offer a decaf version?
Yes — Fig & Honey is available in decaf. Same flavor, same air-roasted process, without the caffeine. Our decaf uses the Mountain Water Process, which skips the harsh chemical solvents. Same great cup, any time of day.

Is this coffee keto-friendly?
Yes — black coffee has zero sugar, zero sweeteners, and no added carbohydrates. The flavoring in this coffee adds no sugar either. Naturally keto-friendly as a factual spec, not a lifestyle claim.
