About Java Momma
The idea for Java Momma came about in September 2017. Melissa and Brian Shoop came up with the basic concept for Java Momma at their kitchen table one Friday night. The focus would be on relationships from the very start. A company built from the ground up to serve the needs of fellow direct sellers, with the focus on customer relationships. Java Momma cares about the community, providing leadership to our baristas, maintaining your trust, and product integrity.

Hi I’m Tammy I live waaaaay Down Under in Tasmania, Australia where I single handedly keep the coffee industry alive while trying to keep up with my 5 kids, husband and cat. I’m a long time blogger and when Melissa asked me to come and blog about coffee I was thrilled! I’m also a huge data nerd so spend my time going through the numbers and seeing where we can improve our online presence. I’ve been involved in the direct sales industry for well over 10 years in the roles of consultant, leader and trainer.
I love Java Momma and the culture that has been developed over the years as well as the flexibility of how you can grow the business in so many ways (oh and did I mention the amazing coffee?).
Senior Instructional Designer
Tami is our Senior Instructional Designer and builds training for in-house staff, baristas, and customers. She also works a bit on our ticketing system and with customer support! Her favorite Java Momma coffee is the Unicorn Blend, with the Guatemalan being a close second. She currently lives in Idaho with her two adult kiddos and a lovely, spoiled pup. She loves to read, knit, drink coffee, and do mosaic crafts.

Hi! I’m Bonnie, Java Momma Community Manager! I’m here for support, encouragement, and to remind you to be your best self, while building your empire! My favorite thing about being a community manager is being able to spend my time with and watch the personal and business growth that happens daily! My colleagues at the home office are incredibly inspiring, supportive and they own their awesome. This company is full of incredible Baristas who are building their empires and lifting each other and making a change. It’s incredible, and I couldn’t be more proud to be apart of something so amazing. Plus, I get to drink coffee all day, everyday who would hate that? I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend my days!

Mitch is the in house Java Momma DJ (specializing in 90’s grunge), Post Master (not to be confused with Post Malone), and grinds a mean bean when he’s in the kitchen cranking out your orders. He is Melissa’s favorite person to pick on. Josh invited Mitch to the Team in October 2019. Mitch lives in Northumberland with his cat, Sasha.
Matt came on board in November 2019. He’s working on moving to Colorado, and we are so excited for him. He will be missed at Java Momma. He packs all of your boxes with care and love. Until USPS get them…………….. He also works with Grace on all of customer and barista service issues.
Sara has been with Java Momma for over a year and keeps the kitchen moving and all the boys in line. She flavors and fills each coffee order!
